| Overview of Work/Interest: | Home-Start is a voluntary organisation in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes - so helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. Home-Start is available for any family with at least one child under 5 years of age. Families may only be referred to Home-Start with their consent. The main referrers are Health Visitors and Social Workers, but self-referrals and referrals from any other source are welcomed and are dealt with in strictest confidence. Home-Start is actively trying to encourage fathers to avail of this support. We also have a Charity Shop specialising in 0-5 year old equipment, toys,
clothes etc. This is open Tuesday - Saturday 10.00am - 2.00pm at 18 Meetinghouse
